Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty, an actress, was born 1 October 1995 in Berkeley, California. She is best known for her acting who has appeared as a character in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) as well as Chrissie Mair's Content House.
Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film maker and actor family. The two professions she chose to pursue were herself. Sogni e bisogni, directed by Sergio Citti and starring Asia Argento, at nine, was her debut film. In 1988, she played her role as the main character in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo (1988), as well as being one of the actors in The Church (1989), directed by Michele Soavi. The Phantom of the Opera will be her third film with her Father, which includes Trauma & The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's dedication and passion for acting has also been used in the film by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a nozze. Patrice Chereau was her director in Queen Margot, where she was the main character. In 1995, Asia worked alongside Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion, for which she won a David di Donatello. Asia began directing in 1994 when she made two short films: Prospettive (1996), a document on her father, and Abel/Asia (1998) Abel/Asia, a feature about cult filmmaker Abel Ferrara. The latter won an award from the Rome Film Festival. Asia was the director of her first film in Scarlet Diva (2000). The film was a collaboration with Asia with screenwriter/actor Linda McArtney. The film was released in May 2000 both in Italy as well as throughout the rest the world. This film was awarded during the Williamsburg Festival of Brooklyn, New York. After directing several music videos the actress gave birth to her first daughter, Anna Lou. In 2002, she appeared in The Red Siren by Olivier Megaton alongside Jean-Marc Bar and in the action thriller directed by Rob Cohen, with Vin Diesel. Asia also has a collection of short stories, which were published in top magazines.
